WHERE DANCERS TELL THEIR STORIES!!
" i live to dance, dance is my addiction." -Patty A.
Patricia was born and raised in New York City and began dancing at the age of 9 years old. Her initial training began with ballroom, by the age of 10; she'd won a NYC dance competition in swing. Although ballroom was her first introduction to dance, she started watching pop lockers, break-dancers, her brother who did hip hop, as well as her idol Michael Jackson and realize hip-hop and popping was her passion. Both styles really opened her eyes, making her eager to learn. While a student at HSAII, Patricia worked with Lincoln Center’s Performing Arts, giving her an opportunity to learn and grow as a dancer. In 2009, she was given the opportunity to choreograph and perform in Lincoln Center’s “Black Box.”
By 2011, she’d joined Innovations, a dance team at New England College in which she choreographed. As an instructor, Patricia not only helps her students learn to move, but she offers a space for each person to build confidence and understand that each step can be done in a fun and effortless way. Patricia Then decided create a website where people are able to connect through their passion of dance calling it Style your motion in other words helping people share or find there on style through dance. Patricia Continues to be an instructor at Shockra Studio and create dance videos.
